  • Repair any leaks found, often at no charge for small jobs

  • Refurbish DWR with Nikwax-TX Direct treatment.
  • Repair all Velcro, zippers or patches needing repair
  • Final inspection, fold and return to you within one week of our receiving it

2. How do I make sure that I'm getting the right fit?

Sizing is a very personalized, individual thing. Please take your time in this section and think about how you want your garment to fit. We also highly recommend a second person taking your measurements. Be sure and wear the clothing that would affect sizing, such as bulletproof vest, fleece liner and winter-weight clothing as you are measured. Using a flexible tape, measure all the spots that are indicated. Decide if you want a fit that is snug, middle of the road, or loose. In the case of an agency of 24 and larger, we offer sizing samples that can be sent to you for this purpose.

3. What is your warranty?

We want you to be ultimately satisfied with your purchase. To help make this possible we offer a "Limited Lifetime Warranty" that warrants the garment throughout the normal expected lifetime of the piece of clothing. In addition, we offer a refurbishment program for older or well-worn garments. We also repair many items that are damaged in the normal course of usage and these can be fixed for a timely return to service.

This varies with the season, which is why we stress to our customers to get their orders in early! The best time to be thinking about rainwear is when it's sunny outside, not the day it starts pouring! We typically quote 2 weeks during the "off season," lead times do lengthen during the "rainy season"

Rainy Season:

Because we are a custom manufacturer, we build your garment when you order it. This leads to a huge "peak time demand" on our system. We suggest and encourage everyone to consider your rainwear needs well in advance of the time you will need it. Believe us, you will be in the minority and you will receive your rainwear much quicker by considering this!

4. What is your lead time?

5. How do I best take care of this garment?

While Gore-Tex is a highly technical material, it is also very easily cared for. We recommend washing and drying your Gore-Tex garment as you would other garments with these important additions:
  1. Be sure ALL detergent is rinsed out of the garment. We recommend NikWax Tech-Wash for this reason. It is non-detergent and rinses out completely. These products are available directly from Watershed.
  2. Don't be afraid to dry your garments. The Durable Water Repellency (DWR) is enhanced by the heat and there are no adverse effects from this.
  3. Keep them clean. Dirt, detergent and pollutants all collect on the surface of the fabric and inhibit the working of the DWR. Keeping them clean can help your Watershed garments made with Gore-Tex fabric working at their peak.

7. Do you have price agreements with any states?

We do. Please call and inquire. If we don't have a price agreement with your state, you may start the process by contacting us at sales@gowatershed.com

8. What is your minimum order?

Since we are a custom manufacturer, our minimum order is One! This is good news for agencies that hire additional people or decide to change their garment system slowly over time.

9. Do you have any dealers in my area?

We Sell Direct from our factory to you or your agency. This gives you the very best pricing, and allows us to have direct communication with your agency.

10. What if I rip my garment?

We offer a repair program, as mentioned in the warranty section. This is designed to have your damaged garment back in service within a very short period of time.

11. What if my agency changes patches?

We offer a Patch Change Service at a moderate charge. Please call for information

12. How long should this garment last?

Our goal is for you and your agency to get "More Than Your Money's Worth" from each Watershed purchase. By that we mean with proper care and under normal working conditions, our garment should outlast any others on the market. Also, because we offer Repair and Refurbishment services, we can help you keep your garment in service for a much longer period of time than is typically expected. As a matter of fact, we have agencies that are still using their garments after 10 years! Because we are able to fill-in small orders, we can match the style and features that make your agency unique.

 

13. Can I order a Jacket or Pants if I am NOT with a Public Safety agency?

Absolutely, please select the stealth mode upgrade option on step "5-STEALTH MODE" in the Configurator to remove the Badge and Mic tabs for a clean civilian look.
